Hofsas House & Carmel By The Sea

    Hey Babes!!

I  got back from my long weekend in Northern California last month and I’m still dreaming about it. It was just beautiful! I am so excited to finally be sharing all of my fun adventures with you all, BUT, I’m not sure where to start haha. I guess I’ll start at the beginning which started with planing this trip. I reached out to my fellow blogger and friend Melissa from The Melissa Lifestyle and invited her along when the Hofsas Hotel reached out and invited us for a stay. Well she immediately said “yes let’s go”! Then we went about booking our flights and Melissa arranged for our car rental and then the hardest part of all–planning how many outfits to take lol!!

I could not believe how cute the hotel looked in person. It is a charming Bavarian inspired architecture, which transports you to a European village, but conveniently located in California!

The hotel has the sweetest retro details including the vacancy sign which is just adorable, And yes there is a heated pool for real!

The prettiest painted mural wall leads you down the hill to the parking area in the back. It looks like a typical German village painting.

My luggage is from Delsey. I love the durability and no the white does not stain. Use Magic Eraser to get out any scuffs! My set is a bit older but here is the link for the new version.

Our room was located off the lanai area but next to the gardens full of hydrangeas and wildflowers.

True story…I was obsessed with these tree lined winding roads and thought it would be so cool to take photos in the middle of the road, but Melissa didn’t go for it LOL!!

This simple sundress is a perfect summer staple, very lightweight and the best thing it comes in tons of prints and its only $12!

Our room had this fun Dutch door, which let a cool breeze into the room and through the other side which let out to our private balcony. When Melissa I arrived to check-in the first day, we were met by the owner, Carrie Theis. She spent time telling us about her Grandmother, Donna, who started the Hofsas House back in the 1940s. Carrie knows the seaside town so well and even lives next door to the hotel! It was such a help to have Carrie point all the must see stops on the map of Carmel, such as the wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops to visit. Hofsas House is also dog friendly which I love! I was going to take one of my pups but at the last minute decided to keep them together (they get upset when they are separated, awww). Carrie had sweetly set a welcome bed for Whiskey and I was SO sorry that I had left him at home.

Our room had a beautiful view towards the ocean and overlooking the pool area. When we heard that the pool was heated we decided to check it out of course.

The cute swimsuit is from my go to summer retailer and all of their swim is always free shipping and returns. Well because you know that swimwear can be hard to figure out sometimes lol.

We decided to get dressed up and go explore Carmel finally after some relaxing time. I could not believe what a cute and charming town it was. The pictures do not do it justice! Every turn it a new Instagram worthy spot. The streets are lined with beautiful trees, shops and so many art galleries. I loved exploring the secret passageways!

I was in heaven surrounded by all the flowers and pretty spots. I added all my IG Stories to my Highlights real over on my IG profile All The Prettys so you can see more of Carmel By The Sea.

Next we made a stop at Sheid Vineyards where we really had a lot of fun!! We met the nicest gal, Marlee who was super helpful giving us wine tastings according to our likes. She even made suggestions about must visit places in the area, including the Refuge Spa and Folktale Winery.

    https://www.scheidvineyards.com/

We were there for a really long time haha, but I left with a new favorite wine, their 2012 Reserve Claret–it was amazing!  A big thank to Marlee who spent time with us explaining the different wines and letting us taste a few extras haha. The Hofsas House gifted us a bottle of the Scheid Chardonnay so we were set for the weekend! Jumpsuit and all details have been linked for you! This jumpsuit is now on major sale too.

The next day we ventured about 15 minutes down the road to visit Folktale Winery  We decided to have lunch (lots of gluten free choices!) and wine of course. It was such a pretty spot with gardens and even live music.

The great thing about Carmel is that there are several little towns very close by within a short driving distance, such as Pebble Beach, Big Sur and Monterey. Melissa and chose to check out Monterrey and their wharf area. It is the cutest village like town lined with little shops that felt like I was transported to New England instead. We had seafood at a restaurant near the water and I had chai tea latte on the wharf (FYI it gets kinda of cold at night in California–Phoenix peeps beware)!

The view from the balcony was beautiful (again check out my IG stories for the view without fog haha). This day is was foggy, but so cool too!

Finally, we got ready to check out and we loaded our big suitcases in the trunk of our cute rental car. Toyota was good enough to sponsor our car rental for the weekend. We got to drive a fun blue Toyota Camry XSE V6 that was perfect for our big suitcases full of waaaayyy too many outfits lol.

After our beach time we stopped at the 5th Ave Deli (thank you so much–it was just delicious)and got a picnic lunch to eat on our drive back to the airport. We did make a stop at the cutest little Cherry Hut which sold strawberries, watermelon and of course fresh picked cherries.

I cannot fully describe how much fun I had during this trip. I even got to relax at a local spa, Refuge (no photos allowed and NO TALKING lol), we listened to great Jazz music at the Cypress Inn courtesy of the talented Debbie Davis, we saw lots of cute doggies everywhere (sorry Whiskey and Cleo next time for sure), and just spent good girlfriend time. Well that is it lovelies, don’t forget to check out Melissa’s post about our trip over on The Melissa Lifestyle . And I am saving up for my next trip to Carmel ASAP.

  • Budget Friendly Summer Dresses

    Budget Friendly Summer Dresses

    Hello Lovelies!

I wanted to bring you a roundup of all my latest summer finds. And here it is!! So I was asked to join in a fun collaboration with Click Collaborative at The Hotel Valley Ho here in Scottsdale, Arizona. Let me tell you all about it!

So, a few weeks ago I spent some time with six local photographers and some fellow blogger babes shooting some new summer looks. I was super excited because I would have several cute looks all ready to post about and get to work with different photographers and styles. This photo above and the series below were taken by Erica Fuchs Photography

I styled this in my head before getting to the hotel. I found my little pink parasol, but did NOT count on the annoying blazing sun lol. I think Erica did an amazing job in spite of both us dodging cars and the sun haha. Here is a few more shots of this dress down below. I wanted a solid color to not compete with the hotel’s already bright and vibrant decor and palate.

It was so much fun working with Erica she was open to my crazy ideas and was super sweet about everything. I think we created some fun images together!

I was able to shoot this outfit with the nicest gals, Joanne and Allison, from Wanderback Photography . I have to admit I’ve never shot with a team before and it was really nice having both ladies there helping and making recommendations. They were honestly super nice. Here are some of the images that I shot with them:

So fun seeing the different styles featuring this sweet blue sundress. I’m glad I had my oversized straw hat to give the photos more options in styling. Here are the links for the outfit above:

    Dress: H&M sold out; Similar:

My oversized straw hat and more:

The pink umbrella is so cute and under $13!

My wedges are Carolina Hererra (old) but I’ve found much less expensive ones for you!

My circle bag can be found here and some more cute picks too!

My next outfit is a new favorite sundress. It comes in NINETEEN different prints and colors. I mean that is crazy! Check out the photos that I got to create with Maria from Theo and Belle Photography . This lovely lady and I had the opportunity to shoot together before which was nice because I feel she gets me lol. Thanks Maria I loved these!!

I absolutely LOVED the way these turned out on this chaise. I have to admit the location was Maria’s idea to go upstairs to the suite that the Hotel Valley Ho let us play around in. Next time I’m shooting in that bathtub in there!!

Now the scarf around my wrist is actually the belt to the dress. I usually can’t use/wear belts on dresses because I have a ridiculously long torso. So the waist to the dress is up higher on me lol. It worked tho!!

The next photographer was Kylee from To B Inspired Photography. I mean this lady is so talented. Here are some photos of our time together:

The floral crown was done by Copper +Bloom Floral –funny story I have never shot with a flower crown before and have been dying to!

This dress was perfect for the Hotel Valley Ho colors with its bright yellows and oranges! So shooting with Katie from Katie Torres Photography was right on it for a more earthy vibe.

Exact hat is on Clearance for $10.50 so hurry! HERE

Sunglass (old) but check out these new styles: Warby Parker

Last was the most casual shoot that involved, palm leaf prints, swim suits and cocktails! Yes keeping scrolling! I have to admit shooting in a swimsuit is not my first choice, but this ended up super fun! First I met up with Kendra from Kendra Lee Imagery.

She captured this bright palm tree leaf print dress perfectly! I absolutely loved these shots! Oh and some news for you, this dress is less than $23 with free shipping and returns, and comes in 3 different palm leaf prints! I will link all outfit deets down below. Kendra shot some more cute pics by the Valley Ho pool. See below!!

My friend Mandy joined me for some pool time. You can follow her and her adventures over at Real Housewife of Scottsdale for  ALL things Scottsdale and Arizona!

This swimsuit was such a surprise find. Right now all their suits are 40-60% off with free shipping and returns. They send you a label ready to return because they get finding a suit can be hard sometimes lol. My top comes in this pink, a gorgeous turquoise blue, white, black and a yellow and white striped one. It is under $20 right now too.  These hipster bottoms are my favorite style. I look for more coverage if you know what I mean haha! They have several prints and solids that are on sale too. I will link both of my suits I bought down below for you.

I also had the chance to shoot with Amanda from Glow Bug Photography. I love how these photos turned out with a flirty vibe to them.

Oh and Erica joined us over by the pool also to get a few more shots with Mandy and to wrap up our day at the Valley Ho! Here are a few more shots by Erica Fuchs Photograhy

Cheers that’s a wrap for this summer’s Click Collaborative Event at the Hotel Valley Ho! I will link the cute palm leaf dress, swim suit and more down below!

    Dress under $23!

My tote bag is still available BUT only 3 left!

Swimsuits all on sale at this retailer right now!

My mules are from last summer but I found these basket weave ones which I like more! ($25 and come in black too)

    <

A huge thank you to both Elizabeth from Cactus Fox Photography and Andi from Andi Fisher for arranging another amazing event. If you want to join us next time (yes there is a next one) follow Click Collaborative for all the news! Until then, Happy Shopping and don’t forget to seek out All The Prettys!
    — this was not a sponsored post, yet it was hosted kindly by the Hotel Valley Ho–much thanks!!
  • Spring Into Style

    Spring Into Style

    Hello Lovelies

I wanted to put this post together a bit sooner, but life has been craazzzy! So here it goes! A few months ago, I was asked to be a judge at this year’s Phoenix Fashion Week’s yearly Spring Into Style Show. I was so excited and knew this was going to be a fun experience, BUT it was so much better than I ever imagined.

    All The Prettys-Spring Into Style

    All The Prettys-Spring Into Style

I, of course, saw this as a challenge to find the perfect outfit for this event. I was looking for a longer floral that had a bit of a sleeve, because it was still cool at night.  All The Prettys-Spring Into Style

It was so fun getting to walk the red carpet right before the show. The six talented stylists who created each look based on their assigned topic. The six categories were: white on white, utility, monochrome, 80s fashion, men’s box suits and all doll’d up. Here are some fun videos of the actual show!

This years’ winner was actually chosen by unanimous decision by all three of us judges. And no it did not have anything to do with the pony (which was super cute but a bit too scared for the wild crowd).

    All the Prettys-Spring Into Style

A huge congratulations to Jazmine Nash this year’s #stylistoftheyear! Her styled-looks had so many different layers to them that I fell in love from the first to the last! Such an amazing night.

The other unexpected thing that happened right before this weekend was that  I received a message from Brian Hill, Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week. Well, talk about a surprise, he let me know that the Andaz Scottsdale Resort would be hosting my stay that weekend! To say I was excited does not even cover it. So I called up my friend and invited her as my guest for the event and weekend. Some other girlfriends stopped by too lol.

I also quickly made arrangements with my photographer, Jacqueline Trevino Photography who helped me shoot some looks at the resort and my fun videos and pics of the weekend. Let me take you on a quick tour of my bungalow!

We all tried a few of these ready made in room cocktails. YES you read right! A cocktail bar in the room. I saw on another blogger that she featured these cocktails too and the company sent me my very own set for home! Amazing! Check out On The Rocks Cocktails to find some for you.

Oh my gosh the bathroom was just gorgeous! I need a skylight in my bathroom now haha!

I unpacked and got ready for some pool time super quick. They were having a DJ by the pool and it was happy hour!

I was so excited to be able to shoot some looks during my stay at the Andaz. Here are some of my styled looks for Spring. The first was inspired by one of the stylist’s categories, white on white!

During my stay we were able to Brunch So Hard lol. The Andaz has a great restaurant on the property and is near a bunch of other great Scottsdale restaurants too.

    All the Prettys-Spring Into Style

The property is so perfect for photos that we hard a hard time just picking a few spots to shoot looks in!

I will link all outfit details for you! I want to thank Phoenix Fashion Week for the incredible opportunity, the Andaz Scottsdale for hosting me and spoiling during my stay.

    Palm Desert Finale Night

    Hi Loves!

This post is where I’ll be sharing the photos from my second night at El Paseo Fashion Week . First of all, the city of Palm Desert knows how to treat a girl right!.  Palm Desert is about a four hour drive from Phoenix and has so much to offer. The restaurant scene alone can keep you busy for days. For me Fashion is why I made the trip! I’m still so happy that this experience crossed my laptop lol!

I asked my friend and photographer, Jacqueline from Jacquelines Wonderland to join me for an amazing adventure! Ok so remember from the Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival post, where I had mentioned cute little Luigi (the Silky Terrier) or otherwise known as the frontman for Casa Luigi Prosecco !?! Well he will show up very soon and keep reading.

So I ordered my dress to celebrate being invited to this event and it was even more perfect than I imagined it!

This was the last look that he sent down the runway that night, and I have to say I was disappointed that he did not send all the looks back out for a second look, as most shows do. After his show, Ralph Rucci himself came out to take questions from the audience though.

    How To Transition Into Spring

    Hi Lovelies!

Sorry, its been a minute. I’ve been posting to Instagram only it seems and my last actual blog post was the one with Cleo and me. I am ready to show you what I’ve found for transitioning into Spring. I am so ready for floral everything. I love silky flowy and floral blouses so much. I think sometimes its easy to find pastel florals, but my love of darker florals continues.  I can’t wait for you to see how I styled my latest Spring look and transitioned from sweaters and jackets!

    Transitioning into Spring

    Transitioning into Spring

Since, I am always cold I like to keep a longer sleeve on y bouse until its dafely above 80 degrees haha. I saw this Zara blouse by only catching the print out of the corner of my eye for a split second. This lady next to me was sifting through that section and I thought to myself “please don’t grab that one!”  You know its happened to you too! #byefelicia

    Transitioning into Spring

Success! I actually did whine once to another random lady that I had been to 3 stores looking for a dress once. She let me have it!

    Transitioning into Spring

I always try and choose accessories that complement my, but don’t seem so matchy matchy.  So for this I chose from my latest Box of Style. Some of you might know I am a complete fan girl of the Box of Style. This pillbox purse is from the winter collection.  This removable gold strap is so pretty or you can use it as a clutch. Ohhh btw just wait until you see the Spring collection coming up soon!

This opal like iridescent shimmer makes this bag so luxe!

  • Styling A Turtleneck Two Ways: Part Two

Styling A Turtleneck Two Ways: Part Two

    Hey Loves!

I’m back with my second outfit styling featuring my cozy green turtleneck. This second outfit can be worn for work or with a more strappy shoe for night. I paired the turtleneck for the first outfit with a short navy blue military inspired skirt. You can catch the outfit HERE!

I wanted to keep a more professional vibe with these pair of champagne color velvet pants. I was so happy how these fit and they are super comfortable too.

My heels are a more block style, but made of my favorite patent leather. I love patent leather everything! I have purses, wallets, sandals, and boots lol.

Gotta do the instagram front tuck right?!!?

Turtlenecks come and go during fashion cycles. Kinda out of favor right now are the little thin cardigan sweaters, but super in style are the chunky knit cardis! Turtlenecks were gone from the fashion scene for a few years and are back this winter! I love how Audrey Hepburn looked chic and pulled together with a simple black turtleneck and black capris (pedal pushers in those days).

I feel that turtlenecks with even a tulle skirt can lend a sleek look to a big flirty skirt. I love mixing up simple pieces with more feminine girly pieces.

The turtleneck is such a wardrobe staple. I have a wine color one, a camel one, a gray one and the staple black one. Here is an article published in PopSugar just three days ago featuring a simple black turtleneck and how to style this in more unexpected ways. See the article HERE

I hope that you like this look. I love the feel of the high neck especially with cooler weather lol.

  • How To Style Mules For Now and Beyond

How To Style Mules For Now and Beyond

    Hello Lovelies!

Mules! I am so jumping on the mule trend for Spring! The heels are usually a bit thicker, which is nice for comfort. They come in a closed toe style like my new white ones or a completely open toe ones for warmer temps.

All The Prettys -White Angeled Mules

To say I’m obsessed is putting it mildly! These are actually my second pair of mules in the last month lol. The first pair I got were more menswear inspired. In case you missed those posts. I will link them below.

    All The Prettys-White Angle Shoes

I had originally picked out the black ones (of course since I own like 15 pairs of black shoes haha). I decided to make a white pair work for winter and I knew this would take me into spring and summer too! These exact shoe come in three colors: white (mine), black (want) and black and white gingham!

I saw this red sweater and decided to order it from a new retailer that I have never ordered before. I don’t know why, but it was my first purchase from Asos. I am love with how super soft it is, but lets talk about these sleeves. They are so cute with the little flounce.

So when I find a new item do you picture in your head how you will style it?!? Yup that’s me. I can picture these shoes into a few more looks with things I already own.

I have loved fashion magazines since I can remember, and now I look to other bloggers for inspiration even more. I can totally picture my favorite fashion gals like Emily Vartanian rocking a pair like this. She just featured a red pair with a kitten heel that I NEED lol! Or check out my friend With Love And Style–Rachel who features a pair she designed herself in red (my fave of course)!!

  • Black Velvet….if you please!

    Black Velvet….if you please!

    Hello Loves,

Well its time to ring in the New Year. I know that most of the country is in a deep freeze, but its been crazy warm here. Usually Phoenix has a winter haha, but for this past week its been 75 degrees most days. AS soon as the sun sets, it does get desert cold. I wanted to style two outfits to wear for NYE that featured sparkles and pants! This is my second look, for the first post check out that look HERE.

I found this pretty black velvet blazer and layered it over my black sequins bustier. I wanted to stay covered with a hint of sexy!

This gorgeous statement layered necklace was perfect for the First NYE look and I loved the way it styled perfectly with this look too.

Nothing sends a party vibe like jewels and sparkles! I found this cocktail ring on sale for $3! It was pure luck!

I actually own two pairs of velvet jeans (one is a size bigger than the other for those times when I’ve eaten waaaay too much).

The staying warm but looking good idea for NYE is hard. I usually like skirts or dresses for sure. This was fun trying something different. I hope that you liked it. Leave me a comment down below with what you think! Meantime, wishing you all lovely people a Happy New Year!!

    Blazer: Velvet Blazer

Denim: NYDJ or Old Navy (less than $20)

Sandals: Norstrom (so many colors I own 2 pairs)

    Necklace: L.V. Kiki

Ring: on clearance for $3 (if you want one I’ll go to the H & M store for ya lol–leave me a comment if you do!)

  • NYE Shimmer

    NYE Shimmer

    Hey Babes!

I have been trying a few different looks for NYE. Now I totally get that in Phoenix our weather can let me pick any type of outfit that I want (lucky me)! Still I wanted to style my new statement necklace with a couple of choices. This post will feature Look Number One!

These pants are amazing. First crushed velvet is baaaack…thank you fashion Gods! The best thing tho is these pants let you eat too haha! When I was little my Mom bought me a two piece short and tank top made out of blue crushed velvet outfit and the obsession began then! I will have to find a photo and post this sometime lol.

I found this draped tank for under $10. It provided just the right amount of shimmer to my NYE look. This new two piece separates are a bit more chic than my Mom’s choice right?!?!

I love the dark metallics of this necklace and my new ring was perfect for this look.

When you stumble across the mirror sandals of your dreams for under $10 one fine summer day at Ross! Lol I forget I own these and forget these were my fave shoes for dancing!

So this shoot has a funny back story. The photos taken against the brick building were at great risk to my safety. You see according to the owner of that building something could have come loose and fallen down and hit me in the head…as I stood on a very public sidewalk lol. Yup, we were approached by the owner and told to basically leave. Really?!? So in protest I will not name his silly place so there! If you meet my lovely photographer Rachel you’ll have to ask her about this day haha!

Look Two coming very soon! Keep an eye on my blog and Instagram for the other outfit choice for NYE!

    Top: H & M (under $10!!)

Jacket: old Neiman Marcus find; similar

Velvet Pants: Anthropologie (on sale $39.95 and extra 30% off all sale)–they come in Olive green too btw

    Sandals: old Ross find; Similar

    Necklace: L.V. Kiki

    Photography: Araya Photography (thanks Rachel!!)

  • Looking Back

    Looking Back

    Hi Loves!

As the year wraps up, I find that the fun holiday parties are what gets my styling current going. I love trying new looks with each post. As much as I go for long ballgown dresses or long flowy looks, I try to push myself outside of my comfort zone. Did you see the Finale Night of Phoenix Fashion Week post?! Whoa that dress needed a lot of double sided tape and maybe just a few more centimeters of fabric lol, but I LOVED it.

I usually order feminine full skirts or more conservative dresses, but there was a little part of me that wanted to try this dress out!

These are fine little metallic studs, although they look like polka dots though haha!

The clutch is my Mom’s vintage bag. I love the textures and the clasp of this bag.

I shot this look in the Crossroad area in Kansas City. This is where First Fridays is held during the warmer months. Most of the buildings have been around for a long time. I really like the industrial look of the area. Leave me a comment if you already have your New Year’s look picked out!

    Dress: Sara Boo–sale and

    Shoes: Vince Camuto

    Clutch: vintage (my Mom’s);

RIng: lost forever:( …. Try this! or This one!

    Earrings: Adornmonde
