Spring Into Style

Hello Lovelies

I wanted to put this post together a bit sooner, but life has been craazzzy! So here it goes! A few months ago, I was asked to be a judge at this year’s Phoenix Fashion Week’s yearly Spring Into Style Show. I was so excited and knew this was going to be a fun experience, BUT it was so much better than I ever imagined.

I, of course, saw this as a challenge to find the perfect outfit for this event. I was looking for a longer floral that had a bit of a sleeve, because it was still cool at night.  

It was so fun getting to walk the red carpet right before the show. The six talented stylists who created each look based on their assigned topic. The six categories were: white on white, utility, monochrome, 80s fashion, men’s box suits and all doll’d up. Here are some fun videos of the actual show!

 

This years’ winner was actually chosen by unanimous decision by all three of us judges. And no it did not have anything to do with the pony (which was super cute but a bit too scared for the wild crowd).

A huge congratulations to Jazmine Nash this year’s #stylistoftheyear! Her styled-looks had so many different layers to them that I fell in love from the first to the last! Such an amazing night.

The other unexpected thing that happened right before this weekend was that  I received a message from Brian Hill, Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week. Well, talk about a surprise, he let me know that the Andaz Scottsdale Resort would be hosting my stay that weekend! To say I was excited does not even cover it. So I called up my friend and invited her as my guest for the event and weekend. Some other girlfriends stopped by too lol.

I also quickly made arrangements with my photographer, Jacqueline Trevino Photography who helped me shoot some looks at the resort and my fun videos and pics of the weekend. Let me take you on a quick tour of my bungalow!

 

We all tried a few of these ready made in room cocktails. YES you read right! A cocktail bar in the room. I saw on another blogger that she featured these cocktails too and the company sent me my very own set for home! Amazing! Check out On The Rocks Cocktails to find some for you.

Oh my gosh the bathroom was just gorgeous! I need a skylight in my bathroom now haha!

I unpacked and got ready for some pool time super quick. They were having a DJ by the pool and it was happy hour!

I was so excited to be able to shoot some looks during my stay at the Andaz. Here are some of my styled looks for Spring. The first was inspired by one of the stylist’s categories, white on white!

During my stay we were able to Brunch So Hard lol. The Andaz has a great restaurant on the property and is near a bunch of other great Scottsdale restaurants too.

The property is so perfect for photos that we hard a hard time just picking a few spots to shoot looks in!
