    Tea Skirt Flirty

    Hi Lovelies

I recently had the chance to create an outfit for a tea shop inspired look. I wanted to keep it a bit less traditional and little more sexy. I think it came together pretty well!

This was such a fun shoot arranged by a fellow blogger Katrina Fox. She was nice enough to share her time with two local  super talented photographers with me. Check out Katrina’s blog is you don’t already follow her The Foxy Kat she is as sweet and she is stylish!

This was my first meeting with Rachel. She is a local Phoenix photographer that I met that day for like for 2 minutes before we started shooting lol. She was very open to my crazy ideas and had an easy way about her so I was able to have fun.

The wind cooperated nicely this day lol. I loved the high low cut of this skirt and this print so much. It was a lucky impulse buy just the day before too!

This gorgeous archway is right in front of this cute local Phoenix restaurant. The owners pulled up just as we started shooting and they were sooo sweet. Can you guess where this is? They serve my favorite gluten-free pizza!

Let me know what you think about this more flirty look vs a more classic tea time dress. Btw anybody have any guesses where this shoot was done?!?

  • Classic Black & White

    Classic Black & White

    Hello Loves!

I am super excited to share this outfit with you. I had been seeing a lot of gals wearing white jeans lately. My mom had taught me no white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day lol. I becoming a bit more of a fashion rebel nowadays haha!

This fun top is actually a one shoulder top. I love the silky feel of the fabric. It is an online only piece, which can sometimes be tough to choose. I ordered this in a US size 6 according to the descriptions. It was actually way too big. I wanted to make sure the sleeves wouldn’t be too short (pet peeve of mine). I think a size 2 would have fit perfectly, but oh well another item for the alterations lady.

I really loved the modernistic collar area. I styled this top with my new Jennifer Janesko earrings. She is a local Kansas City modern jewelry designer. I am obsessed with these sleek long bar threaders she gifted me. I will link my exact pair down below!

This outfit’s accessories have tons of unique details. Check out this clutch and the metal border.

  • Classic Lace

    Classic Lace

    Hi Lovelies

I haven’t worn a really feminine classic dress like this one in a long time. My closet is full of this type of dress. In the last year of really moving and growing my blog I have tried different styles (still never a sheath style–my hips are not right for that kind lol). I have been trying these different styles to grow my own personal style. Although, I have always felt that a simple A-Line Skirt dress flatters my body type really well.

I love that this dress has great movement and flare to the skirt. Also the lace and the ribbon accents really showed great contrast.

The back of the dress has a really pretty exposed zipper too! I loved the overall girly feel of this dress, which I would wear to dinner or a fun cocktail event! Where would you wear this dress?

  • Valentine’s Cocktails

    Valentine’s Cocktails

    Hi Loves

I love wearing red! So when StyleWe reached out to me for a collaboration, I jumped at the chance to pick out something to feature for Valentine’s Day. While the last post was a bit more dreamy this dress is super sexy, even with a longer sleeve!

This dress looked super cute online, but I have to admit it is even better in person. I absolutely love the flouncy details at the sleeves and the hem line. The hem is actually a bit uneven where it comes up a bit higher on both sides!!

When I styled this dress I wanted to keep my accessories super simple. This solid colored dress would typically need something to make it interesting, but this dress with its own special touches did not need a lot of help. I paired a simple patent leather pumps and this leopard print clutch. I got this clutch before this online retailer started carrying the fold-over style, which actually I like better. C’est la vie!

    Gold Pleated Skirt

    Hi Lovelies!

I am super excited to show you this new top from Farfetched Apparel company. This is again from their collaboration with RISTYLE Consulting for the FURTRIBE collection. The lovely Risa and Farfetched Apparel just launched their winter line of the cutest logos for long sleeve tees and sweatshirts.

I am just obsessed with this super soft top. The logo is perfectly fitting for me lol!

The “Dog walking is my cardio” top is just so much fun! I styled it with a gold metallic pleated skirt. And some really simple gold heels.

I kept my accessories about the same color palette just to connect the theme of the outfit a bit more. This gold chain purse can be used as a cross-body or clutch which I just love the versatility.

  • Velvet Tank Second Look

    Velvet Tank Second Look

    Hi Again!!

So this super feminine velvet tank is my new easy go to piece. I love how it was so fun to style this. I found the velvet pant first actually. I was on the look out for somehting that I could style with the pants. It took some searching, but I knew this was it when I saw it.

I styled the pant with these suede sandals from last season which color complimented them perfectly. I kept the bold sparkly necklace as a major showpiece for this look too.

I love this holiday look. I’m usually in a dress or a skirt, but sometimes its too cold for that and these velvet pants are a perfect alternative. Hope you enjoyed this look! The last look will be coming up soon.

  • Velvet Tank–3 Ways (part one)

    Velvet Tank–3 Ways (part one)

    Hi Lovelies!

I found the most beautiful crushed velvet tank and wanted to show you how to style it three different ways. This tank is so pretty, but does run a bit big.

I got the x-small and it is still a bit loose, not really fitted. This tank is super soft and has lace edging on the neckline, which I just loved.

I wanted to dress up the tank originally with this pretty skirt my Mom gave many years ago. I could never find just the right top for it until now!

I wanted to style the tank for a Christmas Party. I had been to a party here at the Montelucia a few weeks ago and saw this gorgeous tree and decided to shoot the outfit here in the courtyard. It’s one of my favorite resorts in Phoenix. Very Spanish colonial architecture and overall feel.

The accessories I chose were bold and furry lol. I love this inexpensive little jacket (it was 47 degrees that morning).

I am absolutely crazy about these shoes. I have a nude pair too and the price is right on point. They have so many colors and textures to pick from.

I have to admit I wasn’t really sure they would let us shoot here that morning. The security guards were super nice and helpful. It was pretty and the perfect setting. I can’t wait to show the next two outfit pairings for this crushed velvet tank….stay tuned!!

    Merry Christmas!!

  • Camo & Black Denim

    Camo & Black Denim

    Hi There!!!

I am loving this super soft shirt. I originally saw another blogger wearing it ( sorry don’t remember who), and I knew that come Black Friday sales it would be on my need to buy list.

    j-petite-39

I wanted to take street style  to a more comfortable place lately. I love dressing up and getting all glam, but sometimes a girl just wants to throw on something easy and relaxed.

    j-petite-42

    j-petite-45

I paired the camouflage shirt with basic black denim and black booties. I did try to play up my accessories some with a beautiful Cluse watch and my favorite Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip cross body bag.

    j-petite-43

I still love these black booties that I picked up earlier this fall with the gold side zipper. So cool that my black jeans also have zippers at the ankles–perfect!

    Dark Florals

    Hi Loves!
I’m am crazy about dark floral prints and this one is perfect! I picked up this little dress while in California at Style Con this past month. They had an entire section set up with dressing rooms for shopping!! I was so excited about all the little details on this dress, especially the bows at the end of each sleeve.

Not only is the print super pretty , but the dress has so many cute details adding to the fun! Did you spy the flounce on the front of the dress?

So shooting in downtown Phoenix can be interesting and a bit adventurous. Seeing people walk by and yell out to you while they are talking/singing to themselves can be amusing and a bit scary too lol! My awesome photographer kept going and she got the shots in spite of our audience!

    j-petite-27

I’m loving these chunky boots. They were a total score item a couple of months ago! Still so good.

  • Holidays 2016

    Holidays 2016

    Hi Loves!

It’s that time of year for Christmas parties or a night out watching the Nutcracker. I LOVE getting all dolled up and wearing sparkling rings and putting on my favorite necklace. I usually go for a red dress or a black sequins top with a sleek pant. This is my first time styling a long blue gown.

    j-petite-1

I’m seriously obsessed with this dress!! It fit perfectly and the design of the dress was pretty when I saw it online, but even so much better in person.

    j-petite-8

It was pretty cold the morning we shot this dress so I was happy to have styled the dress with this faux fur coat.

    j-petite-12

    j-petite-13

I started to dance around some to warm up and some of the shots actually turned out pretty fun!

    j-petite-14

    j-petite-7

Since the dress was more a classic form and a solid color I paired these beautiful beaded Badgley Mischka heels for a bit of glam!

    j-petite-18

I am crazy about the back of the dress. The cut out is so pretty! My faux fur is old, but I will link some similar choices down below.
