Hello Lovelies!
So a last minute decision to go to Flagstaff on Sunday turned out to be so much fun. My friend Karin had mentioned that her Mom was in a group called the Soroptomists in Flagstaff. The lovely Donna Callan helps to organize a Sip N Stroll where several local restaurants, a brewing company and even a historic hotel all provide a cocktail, wine or beer and some delicious munchies. This super fun charity event raises funds for local women and children aid programs. There were amazing gift baskets with lavish prizes for raffles, for example 41 bottles of wine (I didn’t win..sniff sniff).
It was a beautiful day around 78 degrees (compared to 104 degrees back in Phoenix). The historic town square area was super cute with cool local shops and restaurants.
The Weatherford Hotel hosted one of the stops in their upstairs pub called Charly’s.
Pastos Cucina Italiana had a gorgeous back patio. They served blood orange cream cocktails and the most delicious food spread.
A still open historic mercantile in downtown Flagstaff.
The clock tower (not quite Back to Future) but cute nonetheless!
Our pretty day seemed like it was going to get poured on but we only got a few sprinkles (my cute suede fringe purse thanks you!)
Pretty art in a coffee shop that had a live band playing right outside.
My chai tea was pretty good too!
We walked over the train tracks (south of the tracks) to a cute bar called Altitudes. The train passes by every 13 minutes and they have on the menu a “train shot” which gets drunk by some when the train goes by!
Such cute flowers everywhere in downtown Flagstaff. My cute purse and sandals are from Target.
Cool murals everywhere in town were totally grammable! Karin and I with our new friends. Ha Ha!
This bar serves hand-crafted cocktails with a cool hidden private room in the back.
So this is a yearly event for those of you interested in next year’s event. If you need a break from the heat and want to have some fun while helping out a great organization consider making the two hour drive to Flagstaff, AZ.
So til then lovelies!
Xo,
Marisol
