    Jord Chrono Wood Watch

    Hi Loves!

I am back with a new post with Jord Wood Watches . They contacted me to share that they had designed a new series, the Conway.  This series is actually a men’s series for the company, but I just loved the dark sandalwood color and could totally picture incorporating it into my wardrobe!

I really love the darker wood on this style. I found that I could wear the watch with a pair of ripped denim or style it with a cute dress.

  • Smile Brilliant

    Smile Brilliant

    Hi Loves

I recently was approached about trying out an at home teeth white service. This company called Smile Brilliant has devised a system to make your own custom fitted whitening trays literally from the comfort of your own home! The idea is to take a before photo and then compare it to a later photo to see how much brighter and whiter your smile will be!!

First, you should begin by taking a photo of your smile. So, the next photo is a super close up of my smile. Sorry for that ha ha. There is no way to look cute, so here it is.

    Before

The company sends you the kit with what you would need to mix up the putty for your molding trays. Also included is the paid envelope to send your finished trays back for processing. So first you mix the “white putty” and the “blue putty” together (base & catalyst). You need to mix these two really well until you don’t see any “white” and mix quickly so it doesn’t harden before its ready to be placed into your mold trays!

It was super easy to make the molds with the picture directions provided. Also, Smile Brilliant has videos that you can watch to see how to prepare your mold trays. I found this video super helpful. The link is HERE

The turn around time was super quick too. I got my whitening trays back and ready to use within a few days. I was super excited to get these back. As a blogger I am critical of my photos that I post. Since, I have a history of drinking red wine and black tea, I feel my teeth get yellow often. I have tried whitening toothpastes and strips, but I haven’t been happy with those results.

The whitening gel is best applied to the front of your teeth molds. Apply a good amount, but not overly generous otherwise it will ooze over the top and sides too much.

The directions with photos make it all super easy to use. I feel the best part is that Smile Brilliant offers you desensitizing gel for your to apply after using your whitening gel. I have sensitive teeth and more so in the last few years (left over from when I used to grind them during my master’s program…sigh). This was a huge help because about 60% of people at one point or another have sensitive teeth. I did not experience any problems with my sensitivity! Score!

    BEFORE

    AFTER

That is it! Super simple. Its so much less expensive and time consuming than going to the dentist. I was super happy to to be chosen for this product review. I find this so much easier than getting your mold fittings, then waiting, then going back to the dentist office to purchase gel from them only, etc. If you still have any questions or find that you want to know a bit more, please read the article: 7 Things to Know Before Buying Teeth Whitening. Be sure to enter below for an exclusive giveaway, an entire Smile Brilliant home teeth whitening kit for one my readers (store credit up to $139).Enter right down below now! • St. Patrick’s Day Fun

    St. Patrick’s Day Fun

    Hi There!

I know it may seem a bit weird for this Kansas City girl to love St. Patrick’s Day, but I do. It was always so much fun to skip school and go to Crown Center area to watch the parade.

Kansas City held the title for the third largest parade in the U.S. for years. As we got older you basically called in sick to work and pub crawled the whole day after the parade lol.

This fun top is right on trend with the cold shoulder look and I really loved how super soft it is. I styled it with a loose pair of boyfriend jeans (ok they are too big on me now so they are more loose than normal lol) and my gray converse.

This shoot was a lot of fun with the wild weather we had that day, but it all came together, even if my hair sort fell apart haha.

This top is available here locally in Phoenix or online woo hoo! Check out her boutique for the cutest things everrrr. So snag your St. Patty’s Day t-shirt before March 17th or you might get pinched!

  • Classic Lace

    Classic Lace

    Hi Lovelies

I haven’t worn a really feminine classic dress like this one in a long time. My closet is full of this type of dress. In the last year of really moving and growing my blog I have tried different styles (still never a sheath style–my hips are not right for that kind lol). I have been trying these different styles to grow my own personal style. Although, I have always felt that a simple A-Line Skirt dress flatters my body type really well.

I love that this dress has great movement and flare to the skirt. Also the lace and the ribbon accents really showed great contrast.

The back of the dress has a really pretty exposed zipper too! I loved the overall girly feel of this dress, which I would wear to dinner or a fun cocktail event! Where would you wear this dress?

  • Cozy Casual

    Cozy Casual

    Hi Loves!

This cute oversized sweater is perfect for this weekend’s weather. It randomly got cold again and really rainy. I am loving this loose fitting look which is not typically what I wear. I love this soft pink color too.  A lot of my recent looks have been brighter in color, but I find I like to change it up. I’ve never just had one look or one style or dressing. I like to wear something depending on the occasion or event.

This sweater has the look of a traditional cable knit sweater with a larger v-neck. It can be worn slightly off the shoulder too. I styled this sweater really simply. I found a well fitted pair of gray skinny jeans and chose a pair of almost oatmeal colored booties.

I wanted to keep the jewelry very delicate and simple. I didn’t want to over accessorize since this was a casual comfy look. I did add these sunnies for interest, well ok mostly because they are prescription and this way I don’t trip lol.

This outfit came together due to the cold weather. I LOVE getting all dressed up everyday, but when I”m cold I need to feel cozy and casual. Let me now below what item you bring out when you are cold!

  • Valentine’s Cocktails

    Valentine’s Cocktails

    Hi Loves

I love wearing red! So when StyleWe reached out to me for a collaboration, I jumped at the chance to pick out something to feature for Valentine’s Day. While the last post was a bit more dreamy this dress is super sexy, even with a longer sleeve!

This dress looked super cute online, but I have to admit it is even better in person. I absolutely love the flouncy details at the sleeves and the hem line. The hem is actually a bit uneven where it comes up a bit higher on both sides!!

When I styled this dress I wanted to keep my accessories super simple. This solid colored dress would typically need something to make it interesting, but this dress with its own special touches did not need a lot of help. I paired a simple patent leather pumps and this leopard print clutch. I got this clutch before this online retailer started carrying the fold-over style, which actually I like better. C’est la vie!

  • Dreamy Valentine’s Day

    Dreamy Valentine’s Day

    Hello Loves!

This is the first of three Valentine’s Day outfits to help inspire you, I really hope you enjoy! Just for full disclosure, I ordered my red ball gown with no place at all to wear it to! A little strange maybe, but if I get invited to a ball I’m all set! Hint, Hint!

I had in mind for awhile now to shoot this dress at the Wrigley Mansion. A lot of people have never visited or have never known about this magical place. It is a beautiful hacienda like mansion up on a big hill in the Biltmore area of Phoenix.

This gorgeous red ball gown is such a dream dress. It even has pockets, which this gal just loves. I decided to style it very simply with a minimal dainty necklace, no arm jewelry and no earrings even. The dress is truly the feature.

I did style it with a leopard coat, it was still cold that week. This is a vintage piece that belonged to my Mom. She got a new one she liked better and I was happy to take this one off her hands. Talking about hands, a gal should never arrive empty handed, and so La Marca Prosecco is always a good idea! It is my personal favorite prosecco, a tad sweeter than a true brüt champagne–which I actually like better, but not overtly sweet either.

Ball Gown: Morning Lavender–sold out; Similar–Morning Lavender; Similar–on sale for $50!!

    Necklace: Kendra Scott

Coat: Similar; Similar–on sale for $37!!

I hope that you liked this post. Stay tuned for our craaazzzy adventure that we had while shooting inside the mansion in the next post! Small hint: BOO!

  • Hapari FIT Activewear

    Hapari FIT Activewear

    Hi There!!

I am so excited to tell you about this latest collaboration. Hapari reached out to me about featuring and trying out their activewear line. I was pretty flattered! They started off as a swimwear company and have moved more into including activewear.

Ok so those that know me well are aware that I am not a gym girl. Now this doesn’t mean I’m sedentary, quite the opposite. In 2004 I had a thyroidectomy after gaining over 30 lbs and being pretty sick. I was super skinny for my height before that so many did not realize that I was sick at all. I used to do 5 dance classes a week (ballet, flamenco, belly dance and contemporary). Nowadays, I do my kind of working out–not super structured. But it works for me.

I love to walk with my dogs. Try to most days! Cleo is always in a hurry to get somewhere (not sure where she is pulling to get to lol). She is about 6 months old now and has a ton of energy. The other 2 have no choice but to keep up!

I usually swim most days when my pool warms up too. But when its cooler out I love to ride my bike. I have a cute beach cruiser, yes with a basket on the front, that I ride for a good hour. Here in Phoenix, I try to ride as often as I can before it gets too warm. I’ve actually had my bike tires get worn out/ruined from the pavement being too stinking hot!! The jackets I ordered in size small also. I am crazy about the little thumb holes. Yes something that little makes me happy!

I truly loved these Hapari FIT pieces. They are so well made. Hapari prides itself in fitting a woman’s body very well and their activewear is no different. The wide waistband on the pants is so nice to help hide my extra pouchiness haha.

I really loved the way the sports bra fit and the higher neckline too. This is a size small. The pants are a size medium–I’m more “hippy” than the average girl of my height and weight.

The solid black tank is very lightweight and super soft. I ordered the size small. Really loved this tank! The quality of this active is so well made.

For me whatever I do I have to have music. With my dance background I love all types of music. Sometimes my “workout” is just dancing in my living room. So no one can critique my pathetic jete instead of a grand jete lol!

I am trying to get back into actual classes, but life keeps getting in the way. I love nothing more than being on stage. I so miss it. No matter what you do keep moving. I am not in the league of the bloggers who are real fitness bloggers by any means, but if you can get a group of girlfriends together and just go out dancing its a great start. You burn a lot of calories and in heels! It’s an excellent workout. So to my friends at the Galantine’s party– in 2 weeks, Friday, we need to organize this for sure (you know who you are)!

The best news is that everything at Hapari related to activewear is on major sale right now! The links above are for all the pieces that I received. Also don’t forget to check out Core water. I love the taste of their purified water, but best news is that they have just introduced 5 calorie flavored waters!! SO delicious and yet low calorie. No artificial sugars used to sweeten these waters.

  • Pink Floral Blouse

    Pink Floral Blouse

    Hi There!

I am super happy it is a new year with new beginnings. I’m find myself picking outfits that make me feel lighter and express the fresh year ahead. I recently found this gorgeous pink floral blouse and thought about styling it for work, but then decided to go for a more casual street style look. I paired a cognac faux-leather jacket with stonecolored booties to off-set the super feminine look of the blouse.

I picked up this cream colored straight leg jean this past summer, but of course it wasn’t cool enough to wear here in Phoenix. I am super happy I bought them, because as everyone now knows I am crazy lately about well placed zippers as accents!!

I kept the jewelry pretty simple so that they didn’t over power the floral print. This one-piece long necklace was a steal, a Black Friday find for $10!

This day was perfect, the sun had shifted a bit and the sun was peeking over Camelback mountain. As you can see the light made my hair even more red lol! Hope your New Year has started off great!!

  • Gold Pleated Skirt

    Gold Pleated Skirt

    Hi Lovelies!

I am super excited to show you this new top from Farfetched Apparel company. This is again from their collaboration with RISTYLE Consulting for the FURTRIBE collection. The lovely Risa and Farfetched Apparel just launched their winter line of the cutest logos for long sleeve tees and sweatshirts.

I am just obsessed with this super soft top. The logo is perfectly fitting for me lol!

The “Dog walking is my cardio” top is just so much fun! I styled it with a gold metallic pleated skirt. And some really simple gold heels.

I kept my accessories about the same color palette just to connect the theme of the outfit a bit more. This gold chain purse can be used as a cross-body or clutch which I just love the versatility.
