Love Where You Live….McMinnville

Hello Lovelies!

Well this must be a record back to back blog posts. I cannot even fully describe the event that was Love Where You Live. Yes it was a dinner. Yes it was really pretty there. Oh my gosh you just have to join the next one!

The location was located at the The Type A Press office building on a quiet street in McMinnville, Oregon about a little over an hour outside of Portland.streetview

The event was beautifully decorated with fall colors by mother nature and everyone who organized the event.

This was a shot of the space right before all of us walked in.

The Love Where You Live mural was wonderful as a focal point and for photos.

The end of the night gift bags waited patiently by the door filled with goodies.giftbags

The Let Um Eat team worked so hard all night. I can only hope they had as much fun as we did!

The Newby’s Ransom Punch was refreshing and light.

Cocktail Recipe:

“Newby’s Ransom Punch” (named for the founder of McMinnville, and Ransom Spirits)

Ransom Spirits Old Tom Gin
Rooibos Tea
Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
Orchard Peach Liqueur
Ginger Syrup
Ginger Oleo Sacharum

My ball skirt was in perfect contrast with my gin cocktail!

And then we were allowed to sit and these beautiful tables!

The vintage table settings were lovely for the location and all the greenery were so pretty. The menu was truly perfect!

appitizers

Appetizers were passed around the room, unless you were my friend Lena or me, we just stalked the chefs and ate some standing there.

The salad was made up of wild mushrooms and edible flowers and paired with Let Um Eat’s own private label Pinot Gris.

The main course was served on a platter for all,  but mine was a special gluten free version of the lamb ragu.

dinner

The main course and desert were paired with two wines by Public Road Wines , which I absolutely loved both. Of the two, Grit was a bit more richer and bolder, which I actually prefer more.

Frozen grapes with bee pollen cream and brown butter hazelnut cake for everyone else was served.

Lena and one of the chefs from Let Um Eat shooting iPhone photos, which I’m sure were totally instagramable!

And mine without cake or cream, but a bottle of Public Road wine by my side (swear not sure how that happened)!

desert

The entire night was filled with amazing fresh food, spirits and laughter (oh and I almost forgot at some point there was lovely champagne too)!

So that sums up a really beautiful evening in McMinnville. Again, thank you to all the sponsors and everyone who worked so hard to make that night happen. Ms. Chelsey Nichol you and your town are exceptional indeed!

Xo,

Oh and all photos were taken by me with the exception of the one credited and taken by Kelly Searle Photography —-Thank YOU!
