Golden and Pine Event

Hello Lovelies,

A few days ago, I attended a Kansas City blogger happy hour hosted by The Blog Guild. This was held at a fairly new home interior shop in the Brookside area of Kansas City (think cute tree lined streets with shops and restaurants).  The  Golden and Pine boutique is a darling space full of soft afternoon light. The owner, Stephanie,  is a new Kansas Citian who’s design aesthetic is brought to life in her shopfodgiftlove

To my surprise, I found this cute little book by Maggie Bautista, whom I had the pleasure of meeting this past October during the Hello Sessions (check out the Oregon posts if you missed those!!!)  Stephanie mentioned Maggie’s book had sold out quickly and she had to reorder more ( it is a book that has delicious recipes for sweet gifts). I gave this book to my friend Liz as a gift and the feedback has been great for Food, Gift, Love

The store is so thoughtfully curated. Items are displayed throughout, mindful of textures and colors. Stephanie has chosen to support local and handmade artists to fill her beautiful store. She has little signs near each area to give the shopper a bit of insight as to where their ” home-made” piece was created.

This store lends itself to events and workshops with many cute sitting areas!

I HAD to try it out for myself! So cozy this bench and all the beautiful pillows.

I ran into my friend from high school, Christina, who is a local graphic artist and photographer. Hey KC bloggers if you need a photographer for your blog  you should connect with Christina at Art n Soul Creative

These little bites were provided by Heirloom Bakery KC located just up the street from Golden and Pine.  The display was gorgeous (don’t worry this GF girl only looked and did not sample). There was a delish champagne cocktail that I did get to try—so yummy!

If you are in Kansas City or planning a visit–consider stopping and checking out this cute boutique. I am finding that the local creative community here in KC has grown so much since I lived here. I am excited to find out more!

So that is all for today. I hope you enjoyed my little story. Shop happy and don’t forget to seek out All The Prettys!

Xo,

Marisol
