Hello Sessions Oregon

Hello Lovelies!

About a little over a week ago I had the opportunity to visit Oregon for the first time and it was so unexpectedly wonderful. While I was looking forward to escaping the Phoenix heat, I never expected that I would ever crave the cooler weather. Yes me the girl who is ALWAYS cold. Portland welcomed us with crisp beautiful fall weather and a little rain, but everything just became more colorful instead of gloomy.

The pre-Hello Sessions meet and greet cocktail was held at School House Electric. An event space/shop that is located just 10 min from downtown. There we were met with a lovely bag full of goodies from the sweet people at the School House Electric. The floral arrangements were lovely, wine tasting was provided by the Union Wine Co, which were delicious and the appetizers looked delicious too, but this gluten free girl could only look:(

The delicious Orgeon wine that night was provided by Union Wine Company. They sell their wine online and have WINE IN A CAN for those days on the lake!! (hint hint Matt and Mindy Morales haha). They also use the cutest hashtag at #pinkies down

So on trend this dress that I actually bought a few years ago in Spain at Zara. I obviously knew that color blocking and soft pleats would be in this season LOL (I actually just had it altered finally!)

The next morning back at the hotel was the Hello Sessions. A full day of workshops around social media, blogging, business, photography and so much more. We started the day with a morning pep talk by the coolest post-it queen Tiffany Han.  If you meet her you would so get this!! And yes her name deserves many !!!! Seriously.

My first session was with Molly Yeh. She talked to us about food styling and photography. It was super informative and fun. Here are a couple before and after shots from that session. Enjoy!

My next session was with Brittany Watson Jepsen. She was as sweet and as sparkly as I thought she would be! I totally forgot to get any photos with her oops.. So I’ll post one of her magical Midsummer Party from a couple of years ago and check out her blog at The House that Lars Built

My final session was with Alexandra Hedin on the business of blogging. She is an accomplished party girl (her words LOL). She gifted us her beautiful entertaining book filled with recipes, party ideas, crafts, cocktails and stunning photography.

I was so inspired that I created a Pomegranate Gin Rosemary cocktail. Thank you Alexandra!

After the sessions were over, there were snacks and refreshments that again looked good I’m sure. I was hungry, but I was very happy because I found my way to the craft room sponsored by Martha Stewart and Better Homes and Gardens

All the sponsors were super generous with gifting us jewelry, notebooks, tote bags, artistic prints, and so much more!

The next day I spent exploring Portland. I hadn’t really thought of rain gear but I made due with my outfit that day. For the record it started off sunny but I couldn’t get myself up.

I finally stumbled upon a gluten free bakery on Sunday morning and had to take the obligatory donut pictures. I had orange juice because the lady only had soy, rice, almond or hemp milk for choices for chat tea, yes hemp milk…uh no thanks?
